12/7/2023 0 Comments Video playbackStudies in the literature have examined the acceptance, satisfaction, and availability of online education ( Dhawan, 2020 Han and Sa, 2021 Mo et al., 2021). Therefore, we need to explore the changes in cognitive load when students use videos to study through experimental research conducted during the pandemic. However, students are forced to adopt such unfamiliar method of learning online, which takes a lot of time and energy for them to get used to ( Jin et al., 2021 Lin et al., 2021). However, contrary to the findings of previous studies, the learning modes have been found to negatively change during the COVID-19 pandemic period ( Salta et al., 2021). Previous studies have also examined the influence of playback speed on the learning effect ( Pastore, 2010 Ritzhaupt et al., 2015). They found that online learning brought more cognitive load to students than offline learning ( Bradford, 2011 Skulmowski and Xu, 2021). In recent years, some scholars have explored the difference in cognitive load between online and traditional learning methods. Thus, students are required to adapt to the new online learning methods and environment with the support of new technology. Moreover, the post-pandemic period events led to the rapid promotion of online teaching and increased the students' online learning time ( Ferri et al., 2020). The highest learning effect is observed under medium cognitive load.Ĭurrently, the continuous emergence of online educational platforms and the abundant high-quality online learning resources have rendered diversified and up-to-date online instructional videos an indispensable part of the education system ( Cigdem, 2014 Bates, 2015). Accelerated playback speed increases the cognitive load of students. (4) A change in playback speed has a significant impact on the cognitive load. This indicates that the cognitive load of liberal arts students increased greatly at this speed. (3) The 1.5× speed showed significant differences in the learning effect by students' majors. High-level group students performed best at the speed of 1.5×, whereas low-level group students performed best at the speed of 1.25×. (2) The speed that affected the learning effect best differed according to the students' learning abilities. The best effect was observed at the speed of 1.25× and 1.5×. The study observed and analyzed how video playback speed affected students' learning and cognitive load to obtain the following results: (1) Video playback speed significantly influenced the students' learning effect. We recruited 76 undergraduates and randomly assigned them to four groups in which they will watch videos at four different kinds of speed (1.0× or 1.25× or 1.5× or 2× speed). Therefore, this study considers the CLT to explore the internal mechanism of learning under the online mode in an experimental study. Cognitive load theory (CLT) offers instructions to students considering the knowledge of human cognition. However, the mechanisms by which students receive and grasp knowledge in the online learning mode remain unknown.

Once you deplete your liver glycogen you’ll start producing ketones and begin to show first signs of some autophagy. The biggest interruptors of autophagy are glucose, insulin, and amino acids. If you run out of exogenous energy then the body starts to mobilize its endogenous resources and converts a lot of its own weak cells into new energy. It’s true that adding butter to your coffee will keep you in ketosis and maintains somewhat of a fasted state but I’m afraid it’s still going to inhibit autophagy.Īutophagy is regulated mostly by fuel sensors such as AMPK, mTOR, and ULK1, which are monitoring the nutrient status in the body. Well, the rationale is that because Bulletproof Coffee consists of only fat it’s not going to raise blood sugar or insulin and thus keeps you in a fasted state. et al (2019) The Role of Tea and Coffee in the Development of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease.Want to know does Bulletproof Coffee stop autophagy? The Adaptive Browsing feature makes the GUI color scheme act like a Chameleon and adapt the colors of the current website. You can use Tab Stacks to group multiple open tabs into one, resulting in a less cluttered interface. In addition to the standard browser features, Vivaldi offers several innovative improvements. You can choose the location of your tabs and address bar, set keyboard hotkeys for common tasks and much more. The browser is designed for power users and offers a high level of customization options. Vivaldi is based on Chromium and designed to be streamlined and straightforward to use. Forever unique, you can connect the Opera Touch app to your desktop by scanning a QR code, and use My Flow to send your notes and web pages from device to device.Vivaldi is a new web browser from the original creators of the Opera browser. The browser can sync your data across your devices, while supporting Microsoft 356 and your free Hotmail Live account. Sign into Microsoft Edge, for example, and you’ll have an easy way to share websites to any of your Windows 10 devices. Microsoft has left Internet Explorer behind and has gone ahead with Edge, which is inbuilt on Windows 11. Unless you enjoy emailing links to yourself, losing your place on an article, and forgetting passwords for websites, you’ll want to use the same browser on your laptop, phone and tablet, so they can share your bookmarks, browsing history, encrypted passwords and more details. But when it comes to personalising your browser and organising your tabs, Vivaldi’s unbeatable for Windows 10 – if you have fewer than 5 open, stacking could be a time and sanity-saving feature.īefore you make your decision, also find out how well your new browser can sync and connect all your devices together. Meanwhile, Mozilla and Opera are constantly updating their security.įor speed and security, you really can’t go wrong with Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Chrome, Safari, Vivaldi, Opera and Firefox all use Google’s Safe Browsing API to spot dangerous websites. Each will delete your browsing history, internet files and cookies, when you’ve finished your incognito or private session, for example. Most of us could choose any and not feel too much at risk. Ultimately, all 8 web browsers mentioned offer good security and privacy features. Both browsers offer crypto-mining protection. For the same protection on Firefox, you’d have to pay. Elsewhere, the Protection Dashboard will summarise for you how Mozilla Firefox has protected your privacy, and you can be alerted if a data breach has put your email address at risk and block allow-notification pop-ups.Īlternatively, Opera is the only browser with a built-in VPN that can hide your browsing from Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and third parties on the sites you’re visiting. If it’s your passwords you’re most worried about, create new, more complicated ones with Lockwise – Mozilla Firefox’s password management service will even sync these with your other Windows 10 devices, which it’s getting even better at. Even social media networks like Facebook will find it harder to get your information, while trackers and cryptocurrency miners are beaten off with Content Blocking, and there’s phishing and malware protection and antivirus software included. If it’s a toss-up between the two most popular browsers, Mozilla Firefox is arguably safer and more focused on privacy than Google Chrome. So you can have WhatsApp, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and preferred Personal News sources, ready to go with this quick-access side bar – all the services you use most often. You can also pin your most visited websites as tiles on your home screen to keep them all in one place, which is more convenient than opening a fresh tab to see your favourites on Google Chrome. And if you close your last tab by accident, don’t worry – unlike most web browsers, Opera stays open. You’ll see thumbnails of these bookmarks in a grid on Opera. Or go to town, organising as many folders and subfolders as you want. If gaming is more your thing, why not install Opera GX for Windows 10? You can have your fun with features for Twitch and find Razor Chroma support. Most other browsers rely more heavily on extensions, even Mozilla’s Firefox, which is why Opera’s one of the best Windows 10 browsers. With a built-in VPN and a wallet for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Opera has some interesting features which mark it out from the rest, although it may not be for everyone. 12/7/2023 0 Comments Hyper light breaker release dateJaume Rovira – Senior environment artist.Michael Joiner – Senior network systems engineer.Peter Hastings – Senior gameplay engineer.Justin Beales – Senior gameplay engineer.Alx Preston – Studio director, creative director, design director, founder of Heart Machine. It felt right to come back in, root around, and share what we unearthed about this beautiful-yet-bleak world with everyone." As such, the West Division may not have been aware of the Metroline products/test." Frito-Lay seemed to be speculating. But it told us it was possible the Midwest product could have been happening at the same time as the Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., product: "At the time of the Rancho Cucamonga meeting, was divided into divisions, with each division operating independently with its own executive team. Sure."įrito-Lay told us about the existence of the Midwest release of Flamin' Hot products. It told us, "We do not credit the product creation to him and him alone." When we asked Frito-Lay to clarify whether that meant Montañez was not involved at all, it said, "He was a part of it. We asked Frito-Lay directly, multiple times, whether Montañez was involved in the invention of Hot Cheetos. It's now clear Flamin' Hot Cheetos never used their recipe.Īs we say in the original episode, the reporting is based on the recollection of people at Frito-Lay roughly 30 years ago, as well as what the company told us, which it said was based, in part, on an earlier internal investigation.īefore we published the episode, we corresponded with Frito-Lay over a dozen times by email, phone and text. In our episode, we ask whether Montañez and his wife were ever compensated for their recipe. It came out after Flamin' Hot products were already in stores elsewhere in the country, and Carey now says the California product used seasoning from the Midwest products. Carey maintains Montañez pitched him an idea for a spicy Cheeto that he approved and rolled out in California. But she and other former employees say Montañez did pitch flavors and product ideas. We spoke to Lynne Greenfeld, who led the team that created the Midwest products. By that time, products had already been sold in the Midwest under the trademark Flamin' Hot. According to Patti Rueff, the person who set up that meeting, and Al Carey, a former executive who was in the meeting, it could not have happened before 1992. Montañez told us he pitched an idea for hot Cheetos in a meeting in 1990. įirst, the timeline laid out in our episode is incorrect. PepsiCo, parent company of Frito-Lay, has since released a statement saying it "can't draw a clear link between" the California and Midwest efforts. However, our reporting shows he was involved in pitching a similar product in California. He wasn't involved in developing that product. This is inaccurate.īottom line: Hot Cheetos were on the market in the Midwest before Montañez ever pitched an idea for hot Cheetos. He claimed he and his wife inspired the seasoning that led to the chip we find on store shelves to this day. This episode centers on a claim that Richard Montañez invented a product that came to be known as Flamin' Hot Cheetos.
